The Old Stables provides a rather special cottage experience. A superbly renovated 18th century stone stable with many original features and set in its own private walled courtyard, within the historic Cowbridge conservation area, adjacent to the open countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan, but only 12 miles from the centre of Cardiff, with a direct link bus stop only 100 metres away.

Turn up the lane from the courtyard gates and, after a walk through the glorious countryside, have lunch or a drink in the Bush Inn in the historic village of St Hilary. Turn down the lane and be in the centre of Cowbridge in 5 minutes and discover why it is called the 'Bond Street of Wales'.

Walk to a different restaurant every night of your stay in Cowbridge and try out the numerous fine pubs and discover even more eating places. Although Cowbridge can entertain you throughout your stay, you may wish to explore some of the unique features of this area. A short drive takes you to the beautiful beach at Southerndown on the Heritage Coast.

Internally the 12 foot high living room is flooded with natural light from dusk to dawn, yet remains cool in summer and warm in winter, thanks to its thick stone walls and sophisticated heating system.
